SUNDAY SCHOOL
We have an exciting Christian education program for children ages 3 through seventh grade. The interactive lessons are taught by a variety of our members. We typically meet on the second an fourth Sunday of each month following worship at 9 a.m.. Below is our Spring 2023 schedule.
January 8—Jesus Visits the Temple, based on Luke 2:41-52, taught by Ann Fields
January 29—Jesus is Baptized, based on Luke 3:1-22, taught by Marlene Duffy
February 12—Jesus Heals 10 Lepers, based on Luke 17:11-19, taught by Mike Schweitzer
February 26—Jesus Heals the Blind Man, based on Luke 18:35-43, taught by Judy Schild
March 12—Jesus Enters Jerusalem, students learn about Palm Sunday, taught by Betty Estebo
March 26—Jesus is Risen, students learn about Easter Sunday, taught by Susan Cantine-Maxson
April 2—Palm Sunday, kids give presentation in worship at 9 a.m.

CONFIRMATION CLASS
Confirmation is class is a class for students seventh grade and older. Meeting time varies depending upon student availability. If you are interested in enrolling your young person, please email LansingLutherans@gmail.com.
CAMPER-SHIPS
Students who attend class regularly throughout the school year are awarded a scholarship to attend an ELCA camp of their choice. Please speak with a Sunday school teacher for more details.
CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
Each December, the children and youth of the community produce an original Christmas pageant complete with carols, costumes and a living nativity. All kids are welcome to be in the cast.
HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS
The congregation is committed to helping our young people to achieve their higher education goals. To this end, the Bev Fitz Memorial Scholarship is awarded to qualified candidates. We congratulate Ethan Schweitzer on being this year's scholarship winner. He is attending the University of Northern Iowa.
